The Scholastic Aptitude Test or Scholastic Assessment which is commonly known as
SAT is the basic requirement for admissions in many colleges or universities across
the USA for undergraduate courses. The test is divided into 2 parts SAT I and SAT
II. These tests assess you on your verbal and language abilities and reasoning skills.
The second part has subject tests which assess you on your overall aptitude on various
subjects.
Post 2005, the SAT was modified with a new section for assessment. This test is
conduced 7 times a year. Hence you need to decide a suitable time and register for
the Test. The SAT Prep must begin the moment you have decided to appear for this.
Though passing the SAT is no rocket science but dedicated preparation is needed
to get good results. The SAT has 3 sections in the 1st part namely Critical Reading,
Math and Writing. The entire test is of 3 hour duration.
