GRE Math is generally known as the Quantitative Reasoning Section. It contains 28
questions which need to be solved in 45 minutes. Hence it is very important to time
each question well. Math is generally a subject that sends jitters through the body
of many students. However with the help of proper guidance and sample tests available
here, passing this GRE Math section will be a cake walk.
The GRE Math section is also divided into 3 parts. The best part about this section
is that it has multiple choice questions which help you in saving time. The first
part is the numeric entry which has to be solved fully by the student. The answers
have to be entered in the blank box provided. The GRE Math covers subjects like
Algebra, Data analysis, geometry, data analysis, basic arithmetic, integers, linear
equations, theorems, graphs etc. However all this is up to the level of 10th grade
and hence one can easily solve it by brushing up basics.
The next part of GRE Math is the Quantitative Comparisons which are generally multiple
choice questions where you have to compare basic equations, diagrams of geometry
or basic statements of math. This is easy since the choices remain constant for
every answer and hence all you need to do is tick the correct one without wasting
time in solving anything.
The last part of GRE Math is problem solving. Here also you are given around 5 or
more choices. However, in this part you will have to solve the problem which should
not take more than a minute or a couple of steps and then tick the correct answer.
There are 10 questions in this section. You can pass this section with a good score
if you have solved enough examples or problems so that your solving skills and speed
are improved.
