Analyze an Argument is exactly like analyzing an issue and belongs to the same section of Analytical Reasoning. Since you begin your test with these essays, they are evaluated first and help you create a positive impact on the examiner. As the name suggests, this section tests you on your abilities ot interpret a critical situation and find a reasonable solution to solve the problem. There are just a few different instructions in this part which if followed correctly will give your essay a good shape and sense.

To Analyze an Argument, begin first by reading through each line of the argument passage carefully. Try to discover the cause of the argument, the proof or any evidence if provided as the passage proceeds. Start making a note of such facts that come to light. There can be many hidden facts or some very explicit details regarding the argument which may help you arrive at a solution for the argument. When you are done reading the whole passage, try and contemplate on the reasons and thought procedure o the whole argument.

Once the passage is understood, you may begin an essay to analyze the argument. It is necessary to remember that this essay does not have to mention your personal opinion. It has to be according to the instructions and mention the facts and statements in favor of the argument and the ones that oppose the argument. There should be discussions regarding the responses, recommendations, advice, prediction and reasoning of the argument in the essay.

It is important to write an essay which is precise and to the point to analyze the argument properly. There should be no personal inputs and most matter needs to be critically proposed and presented in the essay. You are given half an hour for this task and hence solving a few sample arguments will help you catch up on the speed and broaden your thinking too.
