BUSINESS SCHOOL RANKINGS.
All the gmat aspirants want to study in the best mba schools. They feel that the
amount of investment that they put in for these courses will only make sense when
they enroll themselves into the top ranking mba institutes. Many journals and magazines
and even newspapers rank the b-Schools differently. However, the rankings change
every year and it is also sometimes confusing as to which rankings to refer to.
It is upto the candidate to decide whether the rankings are viable and suitable
to him/her.
Many of these Mba B-school ratings are a result of surveys done on the passing out
students and the alumni and also with the help of the information provided by the
school themselves. In many cases, the institute heads are also asked to rate the
other B-Schools on a scale of 1 to 10.
The first parameter used to measure the quality of a good B-School is the quality
of education itself.
Second comes the implication of the course on the student’s professional and academic
career.
The most usual points to access the quality of the course are
- Ratio of staff to the number of students.
- Academic qualification and prior experience of the faculty.
- Quality of the students, marked on the basis of their GMAT scores.
- Diversity of students.
- Facilities available to the students, like library, access to the internet, and
additional help from the faculty in case of doubts and other problems.
- Amount of compensation assigned to the students after the completion of the course.
- The number and quality of the recruiters who visit the school.
Even after the above mentioned points, it can be difficult to decide which school
is the best. This is because many schools give out information which is difficult
to predict. The average salaries mentioned in their website do not pertain to a
particular region or place. Therefore the currencies and standard of life in those
countries have to be measured while ranking the schools. Last but not the least,
the students must be themselves aware of the current scenario and do their own research
before going ahead.
The top 10 Business Schools according to the acceptance of GMAT scores are mentioned
below. However, the students must themselves take the last call.
